First of all, verify if your theme is for Wodpress or an HTML Template. HTML Templates are not WordPress Themes, therefore you will get this error when trying to install. Make sure you read item’s description well before purchasing any item.

If your item is a WordPress Theme, please read below:

A common issue that can occur with users new to installing WordPress themes is a “Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme. This error message does not mean that the theme you have purchased is broken, it simply means it has been uploaded incorrectly.

Luckily, there is a very easy fix:

Download the final zip file from your account. Unzip the zip file; you should find the documentation folder along with the theme zip file that actually needs to be installed.
